Mr John " Jack" Wright 89, of Perry Twp, formerly of Carrollton, OH passed away in the home of his devoted daughter, Mrs.Cathy(Paul David) Prosser on May 20, 2017. Jack as he was known to all his friends was a proud Army Veteran and served in World War II. He was a self employed carpenter most of his life and really loved his trade so much that he worked well into his 70's. He really never could sit still. He was a loving father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. They came first and foremost. His grandchildren will always remember him by his humor and the funny songs he made up and sang to them. Jack was married to the love of his life Anna "Annie" Mae Roberts on August 8, 1947 until her passing August 20, 2001. They lived in the Carrollton area for over 40 years until his health started to decline and he moved to the Canton area. He managed to live on his own for several years until he moved in with his daughter Cathy. Jack was placed on hospice care in April. He passed peacefully with Cathy and Shandra by his side. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request that donation be made to Lamiell Funeral Home to defray funeral costs.

Jack was such a funny, sweet man. He, Annie and his family were some of  the nicest people I grew up around. My heart aches for all the loved ones he leaves behind. Hopefully he is already rejoicing with Annie and all others that he cared about that have passed before him.  RIP Jack, love you Suzie

I am going to miss my father my hero so much. We did everything together for so many years. I will have a huge void in my heart that I will not know how to fill. It was such an honor to take care of him. I love you daddy and the rewards I will reap for many years to come. Thank you for allowing me to take care of you!

My deepest sympathy to the family. May God bring you comfort.
