Francis P. “Frank” Kolesar, 74, died peacefully on Monday, August 7, 2017 surrounded by family. Frank was born on January 25, 1943 to the late John C. and Mary (Skolosh) Kolesar in Bergholz, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl in 2010, four brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Helen (Radvansky), son David (Katrina) Kolesar; daughters Sharon (David) Siegfried and Sheila (Jeff) Crawford, grandchildren Cameron and Andre Kolesar; Jeremy, Adam, Emily, and Joshua Siegfried; and Cassie, Calvin, Calista, and Caitlin Crawford, siblings Msgr. John Kolesar, and Sister Barbara Kolesar, OP and extended family. Frank served in Company B, 11th Air Assault, Third Army during the Vietnam War as an Aircraft Electrician, Specialist 4th class. After serving his country, Frank returned home and worked for the City of Canton Waterworks as a backhoe operator. Upon retiring after 30 years, Frank enjoyed woodworking to the point of building his own workshop, and spending lots of time with his ten grandchildren building Lego sets, reading books, and other fun activities. Frank/Dad/Grandpa/Papa will be thoroughly missed by his loving family. Friends may call Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. with Father Leo Wehrlin as celebrant. Burial will be in Warstler Cemetery.
