Bruce Edwin Ewing Tuesday, November 7, 1939 - Thursday, May 4, 2017

Bruce Edwin Ewing was given the gift of life on November 7, 1939 and completed his journey on May 4, 2017 enveloped in the arms of his family. His deep love and devotion to his wife, Dee, was an inspiration to all. He was a 1957 graduate of Louisville High School and served in the United State Navy from 1958-1964. Bruce was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 15458 and volunteer for SCORE, Meals on Wheels and coached endless sports teams for his grandchildren. He was very active at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. He was a Project Manager at Stanley Miller Construction and retired from Northern Valley Construction in 2005. During his retirement he enjoyed golf, bowling and spending time in his yard. He dedicated his whole life to his family and showered his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with faith, love and support. Survived by wife of 58 years Dee Ewing (Schehl), daughters Robyn (Bill) Bartko, Debbi (Dave) Bailey, Christina (Kirk) Harper, Suzi (Mark) Anderson. Grandchildren Michael Heim, Kristin (Jon) Lenton, Greer, Mason, McLane & Sutton Bailey, Graeham, Everett and Elle Harper. Great-grandchildren Cooper and Beckett Lenton. Sister Joanne Anderson. Brother Jerry (Janet) Ewing. Preceded in death by infant daughter and son, Melanie Ellen and Christopher Allen, parents Robert and Burdette Ewing (Starkey), brother, Robert Ewing and sister Marla Gravo. Friends may call Sunday (TODAY) from 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with Father Donald King as celebrant. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sister’s Grove c/o Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church
